Life is busy to say the least. I have about 4 weeks left of school before I am officially unemployed. I still feel so great and confident in my decision. I am so excited for a new beginning and adventure. Of course there is so much going on between now and then. It seems I have busy weekends until mid June. With some trips, a bachelorette weekend at the lake, a Savannah field trip with 8th grade students from my school (hardly a vacation..waking up at 6am, going non stop all day on tours etc. and being in charge of hundreds of 14 year olds...so NOT relaxing), a Zac Brown concert with some of my best and most favorite girls....does it get any better than Zac Brown? Mother's day cookout and celebration of my cousin's graduation from UGA and new job in Savannah (so sad to see her go), and so much more going on. My poor dog is becoming passed around between my brother, best friend, best friends' boyfriend, and best friends' sister...no wonder the dog has abandonment issues! ha
My annual trip to the NC coast for a week to celebrate the end of another school year and enjoy the prettiest coastline around in my opinion :) Trips to San Diego to apartment hunt, Annapolis with a friend in June, possibly Destin Bachelorette weekend in June, Seattle in July, a visit to Jacksonville to see my dear friend and precious "niece" Eliana....oh and somewhere in the middle of all this...pack my entire condo (again) and put 90% of my stuff in storage.
My mom and I will be driving to San Diego end of July/beginning of August. Stops to include New Orleans, Austin, El Paso, and Phoenix I think. Of course there is a slim chance I will get a teaching job in Hawaii that I applied to and of course if that happens...plans will be changing! Hope Roxie is up for a plane ride!
Things I Know:
1) I def. will NOT be teaching at Piney Grove next year
2) I will NOT be living in Georgia
3) I am moving
Things I Don't Know For Sure:
1) Where I Will Work
2) Where I Will Move
3) What exactly will happen...
The best part is the unknown....life is about the journey, not the destination and I truly believe that. Until August...I plan to burn the candle at both ends. With limited time to spend with family and friends...why in the world wouldn't I???
