Another amazing weekend for the books! After being sick all week with a nasty cold I am so glad to finally feel better...still have a little cough and congestion but slowly on the mend. Who catches a cold when it is sunny and in the 60's and 70's everyday? I guess someone who works with kiddos:) This weekend was amazing! Friday was just a chill dinner with Jake down in the Gaslamp district at a Mexican restaurant. We did sit outside on the patio and get in some good conversation and as usual...good people watching. Saturday was spent out and about because it was warm and sunny...Roxie and I checked out Dog Beach on Coronado and then Fiesta Island. She was a spoiled little pup enjoying running and splashing around while I of course...took in the sunshine and blue skies. Saturday night Lauren, Alicia, and I headed out to the Holiday Hootenanny concert. Their companies sponsored the event so we got in free and had VIP passes...free beer and food all around! It was such a fun girls night and who doesn't love a good concert? Sunday was even prettier than Saturday. Alicia and I headed out all day in PB. First was brunch with Lauren on the rooftop of Firehouse overlooking the Ocean, then a stroll down the boardwalk and onto the Pier (hence cute pic of a Christmas tree on a pier!) met up with some other friends, continues strolling, walked on the beach, went to another bar, sat outside, talked, people watched, headed to a few shops, hit up another bar and well...finally made it home a mere 8 hours later. Yes...a picture perfect and solid SoCal weekend. Snowing in ATL...ugh. I do not miss that at all. This weekend reminded me of why I moved here. Epic. Truly epic.
This time next week I will be on a plane to ATL. I hope this week flies by bc I am dying to see my friends and family. Looking forward to seeing everyone and hope I squeeze in as much as I possibly can. It has been way to long since I have seen my girls and I look forward to laughing my ass of with them. I have the best friends in the world and being 3,000 miles away from them makes me realize this more and more. Life is good these days.....
