A Relaxing Weekend

What a relaxing weekend so far! It all started when I got off work 30 minutes early on Friday...that is enough to put me in a GREAT mood for the rest of the weekend! Headed over to Maria's to hang out with her and Alex, drink some wine, chat, and enjoy a delish burger from a local place I have been wanting to try for a while now. Saturday morning I woke up to blue skies, hopped on the bike and met Maria to bike to our local Pacific Beach Farmer's Market. My first Cali Farmer's Market experience and I loved it! I grabbed some fresh and ever so sweet strawberries, some gorgeous flowers for $1 (ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?) and some garlic chives (they look like blades of grass) they are great in omelets, hashbrowns, or mashed potatoes...super excited to try them out! I am going to make a point to go more often...if not for the flowers alone! Having fresh flowers in the house just make me happy :) The rest of the day was spent outside by the water in my favorite blue chair finishing up my 4th book in the past month...another hilarious novel/memoir by Jen Lancaster. I still have one more of her books to dive into...hopefully sometime this week!

Alex's house tonight for some movies and chill time. Trying to watch the budget this weekend with Stagecoach and Palm Springs on tap for the next 2 weekends! Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. Maria and I will be heading to brunch and then to cheer on the Padres for a great day at Petco Park. Back to Oliver Avenue to host some friends for an Easter Dinner( though not very traditional) cooked mainly by my roommate with some sides and dishes contributed by myself and the other girls. All in all...a wonderful weekend...as they usually are.
