I have had such a busy week...poor Roxie...I have been gone every night for the past week and have had long and busy days! Great for me...not so great for a pup who demands attention and exercise :(
Monday night I headed out to dinner with my friend Maria at a local pizza place her boyfriend owns! It was delish!
Tuesday night wrapped up Season 2 of CoEd bowling. We had so much fun these past 2 seasons and while we headed into the final night in 1st place...we lost and ended the season in 2nd! Still had a blast though but we will be taking a break for the Summer and hopefully picking back up in the Fall.
Wednesday my friend Alicia and I headed to Miramar for a book signing and meet and greet with one of our favorite authors...Jen Lancaster. She did a reading from her new book, answered some questions, and signed books. We waited in line for an hour and weren't close to having her book signed...so in true Alicia and Becky fashion...we left and had a margarita. Bummed we didn't get to meet her...but totally didn't expect it to be that crowded! Still had a great time though!
Thursday I met Jake and our friend Roff in La Jolla for a comedy show. A few beers and some laughs later...it was pretty fun...although I am not a huge fan of rehearsed comedy. Still a great night with some of my favorite ATL boys.
Friday I stayed at work to watch my kiddos put on their annual play performance. They have been rehearsing for 4 months so I wanted to see the final product of all of their hard work...it was super cute and my kiddos did wonderfully!!
Saturday Jake and I participated in PAWS across America Day...a day where UGA alumni groups all over were volunteering. We spent our time at the San Diego zoo building enrichment activities for the animals. We had cardboard and paint as supplies and that is about it. We came up with a cool giraffe and a peacock. Jake was definitely the engineer figuring out the logistics of construction while I assisted in the creative process (i.e. painting). We had a nice time though and it was great to be around some fellow UGA peeps...we headed to The Prado in Balboa park for some food and drinks...afterall...we did go to UGA so we do love to drink!! Saturday night Alicia, Lauren, and I headed to see Bridesmaids (freakin hilarious) and then dinner downtown.
Like I said...BUSY, BUSY, BUSY. It feels nice to take a minute to sit down, relax with Rox, and catch up on some tv. Hoping to make it out to Coronado this evening for sunset with the pup. A calmer week ahead hopefully....
