I have 3 weeks until I leave for San Diego....one of those weeks will be spent in Seattle, WA so really 2 weeks in Atlanta and there is a chance in those 2 weeks I will also squeeze in a quick visit to Savannah and Jax, Fla to see some good friends and their little kids/babies. It is always fun to head down there and get to love on some adorable girls. It is the coolest thing to see people you have known from middle school become parents. I really do love kids but of course the attachment to these kids is different...even though I have nothing to do with how the kids turn out etc. I am always so proud of Ginny and Lauren when I leave a visit. They have such sweet, smart girls and have made such nice homes and families for them. Truly, they picked awesome guys to marry who have turned into awesome dads. I hope as more of my friends get married and have babies the same happens for them.
So that should be it as far as traveling goes. I wish I had time to go more places...back to NC to my family's beach house or just to any beach! Apparently there are some amazing deals out there...a girlfriend just went to PC for a week in a 1 bedroom condo for $800!!! That is insane! Pretty much I just wish my entire life was a vacation at the beach...lucky for me I am about to live 5 minutes from the beach!! That being said....I got the awesome apartment at Pacific Beach! I fax the lease today and have the official move in date of August 8th!!! I am so glad bc now I can truly enjoy the rest of my time here without searching Craigslist every night and calling people etc. trying to find a place. As my attitude has been from day one, everything will fall into place like it needs to and it continues to do so.
This past weekend was such a fun one! I will need today and Tuesday to recover! Friday started off with an entire day at the lake on my friend Jody's boat...5 of us girls just eating, drinking, and floating all day, that was followed by an outdoor concert with another friend in downtown Norcross...anytime you can see music outside I am a happy girl. Saturday was a friend's wedding and she looked stunning! It was great to see her and a few other familiar faces I don't get to see too often. Afterward, I spent the night with my friend who lives in Buckhead, met up with some more girls and enjoyed a night out at Fado's followed by a nice little 4am McDonald's stop (nothing like taking a taxi through a drive-thru!). Sunday was a cookout with work people at the Roberts' house. Always, always a great time as it is such a fun crew and they are such gracious and fun hosts. The guys manned the grill and hung outside in the ridiculous heat while the ladies and kids sat inside gossiping, laughing, and doing what we do best...eating and drinking! So with a packed weekend it will be nice today to get ready for my trip with laundry, errands, and house cleaning.
Summer continues to be fabulous...but of course it is usually nothing less!
