My friends Dobbin and Kris tease me every time I visit home bc I hate the inevitable "goodbye". It doesn't get any easier the longer I live away from home. I hate saying goodbye in general. When people come to visit here I'm always homesick for a day or 2 after they leave. I also don't really do hugs...but I'm working on this.
That being said since I have lived here I have had to say goodbye too many times. My roommate moved to SF, Jake moved to Houston, my friend David moved to Nashville, my friend Donovan just moved to Maine this week, my friend Meaghan moves to San Fran next week, and my friend Rachael will be moving to New Orleans in June. My God...does anyone stay in the same place anymore?!?
It's hard enough moving to a new city and making friends...and then to have so many move? Sucks. Life evolves though and people get amazing opportunities that they need to go after...I totally get this...but it still stinks.
Makes me think a lot about my decision for next year and where I might be. I'm going to buy a computer in the next few weeks and get on the job hunt ASAP. I'm pretty much open to anything...almost anywhere. Why not, right?!?
Girls night downtown tonight checking out a play/musical, gorgeous Saturday spent outside on the beach and riding some rides for Meg's going away party, and maybe a little hike or beach action on Sunday.
