Let It Go

"Keep your heart above your head and your eyes wide open"

If you know me well...you know besides the beach, Mexican food and margaritas...The Zac Brown Band is one of my favorite things in the world!! I have been listening to them for about 5 or 6 years...wayy before the days of radio play and CMT videos. One of my all time favorite memories is a concert my best girlfriends and I went to a few years ago. It was at a bar in Duluth, GA and it was the night before Christmas Eve. He played well into the morning and we finally had to leave because we all had family obligations the next day. I have never been so hungover on Christmas Eve in my life! We might have paid $15 for our tickets. Last year Vicki, Regan, and I headed to Knoxville for the UGA game and saw Zac Brown the night before...highlight of that concert was a cool guy in a jean vest and free Zac Brown koozies! Two summers in a row we saw him at the Duluth amphitheater...highlight...BYOB :) We met Zac both years and got our picture taken with him!! Wish I had some of these to upload but they are on my old computer...we also saw him this May and it was awesome! His ticket prices have gone up but I will happily pay bc we always have the best memories and best time! This is probably my favorite thing to do with my best friends (Vic, Syd, and Regs are staples and we are lucky enough to recruit others sometimes to join us!)

His new cd came out this Tuesday and of course it was all the talk between our group of friends...texting and chatting back and forth to say we got the cd or how many songs it had or our favorites so far! The above lyric is from my favorite "new" song called "Let it Go" and has become my first song and soundtrack for my ride to work. I have waited years for some new tunes and he did not let me down with 16 songs!!!

I highly suggest anyone who hasn't listened to them to check them out! Gotta support the local Georgia boys and a solid band who has been around a long time and finally seeing some huge success!!

Cheers to great friends, good music, and good memories! Can't wait to catch a show of theirs again soon!

PICS---Photos from May Concert! Had a blast!!
