Ready for A Week Off!

So another great weekend for the books! Friday was spent checking out a Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood of Bankers Hill. It was AMAZING! Cool atmosphere and great food...of course I had to sample a margarita and it was divine. This so far will be my "fancier" Mexican place I take visitors to.

Saturday began with a nice walk with the pup and my friend Alex. We went to the area called Birdrock. It is a beach neighborhood in between mine (PB) and La Jolla. Killer houses, great cliffs, and amazing ocean views. I love stumbling across new areas that are gorgeous and great places to walk Roxie. I don't think looking at the ocean will ever get old to me. After that Jake, Lauren, and I headed to a PB bar to watch the UGA vs. Auburn game...and what a great game it was for a while...I really thought we might pull it off but it just hasn't been our season. Only one more game left...what will I do with my Saturdays?!? We spent the whole day just watching football, drinking, checked out the sunset down on the boardwalk and then headed out with some other friends to the Northpark neighborhood for dinner and drinks. We had a blast!!!! Day drinking is always bittersweet as it makes for an ugly day the next day.....

Sunday was spent recovering from Saturday and a little time at Fiesta Island with Rox. Looking forward to this week as it means the following week I have 5 days off work! I have big plans for these 5 days...so hopefully I follow through with some or most of them :) Palm Springs, Julian, Orange County, Catalina Island, a Jazz Festival in San Diego, Thanksgiving with my Stepdad's family......might have to narrow the list down just a bit.....

So here's to hoping this week flies by so I can get a little R and R in. It will be sad to not go home but I will be home in a little over a month so that will have to do :)
