Busy, Busy, Busy

It has been such a busy week it seems...so busy in fact I have not seen my roommate in 3 days and we live together! What is that saying..."like ships passing in the night"

Not a whole lot to report really....more of the same...hang out, go out, walk pup, go to dog beach/park, work, and do it all again. Jake watched Roxie Monday and today for me...it has been a life saver for both she and I...plus I think he loves the company since he works from home now.

I applied for a tutoring job so we will see if that pans out....I also applied to be a volunteer at a Children's Hospital here in San Diego. Hope to start that after the 1st of the year. And....tomorrow I will be donating blood for the first time. Something that has been on my list for a long, long time and just never got around to doing. I actually have no fear of needles whatsoever so if all goes well tomorrow I hope to make this a reoccurring thing. Seems like it is a simple way to "pay it forward" which is something I want to focus more and more on. I am so fortunate to be given so much in my life that I want to make sure I put it to good use!

I also went out with some friends tonight for Sushi...my 4th attempt at liking this trendy food. I have to say...it is getting a little better with each test...but I still prefer my chips, queso, and margaritas that is for sure! I also feel like such a nerd that I can't use chopsticks and they have to bring me a "kiddie" pair...how lame. Oh well...it is all about trying new things and getting out of my comfort zone.

I can't believe today was Dec. 1st and it was sunny and in the 60's here and of course I rocked the flip flops...it is chilly at night though...usually in the mid 40's or low 50's. This weekend should hopefully be a chill one full of rest and some couch time with the pup...Sunday is the Rockette's Christmas Spectacular show with my roommate and some other friends...I saw them in NYC when I was a kid so I hope it is as festive and wonderful as I remember...I am slowly getting into the Christmas spirit yet still not motivated to do much shopping. It just might be a year of gift cards all around...not to be a Scrooge or anything....

18 days until I leave for Atlanta!!!!
