StageCoach and Camping

I survived Stagecoach Festival and had a BLAST!! We headed out Friday afternoon with Liz's car packed with not an inch to spare. You would have thought we were going away for way longer than a weekend that's for sure!! When we got to Indio and the campsite we picked out an awesome spot located next to some great neighbors who we hung out with all weekend. I learned when camping...your neighbors can make or break your experience. We set up our tent and canopy, loaded in all of our food, drinks, chairs etc. and began enjoying the night! So much fun!! We woke up early every morning because it is so bright and hot early on that it is hard to sleep on. The campsite is so cute in that it had a little general store, a place to get coffee and a place with some munchies. Of course there were tons of Port o Potties (however, I have to stay they did a great job of keeping them clean and as non disgusting as possible) and even showers! Most mornings started off with a walk around the campsite, rehashing the night before and then....well...drinking of course. We played ladder ball, cornhole. and just enjoyed socializing with everyone. I will also say that everyone we met was super nice....it must just be the overall attitude and mentally of people who go to a festival...especially a Country Music Festival because everyone was so sweet and friendly. The camping experience was probably my favorite part of the weekend for that reason.

We saw some amazing music...there were 3 stages with 1 main one and 2 smaller ones. Our first day we saw The Gourds, Ronda Vincent (AMAZING Blue Grass Band), Chris Young, Darius Rucker, Kris Kristofferson, and Kenny Chesney. All were great and Darius even played some Hootie songs which was fun. Of course I knew every Kenny Chesney song because besides Zac Brown I have seen him the most in concert....will always love him and his performances! Day 2 we saw Easton Corbin, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, and Rascal Flatts.

Everyday was sunny, warm, and beautiful. With the desert, palm trees, and mountains in the background it really is just as pretty as the beach and Ocean in my opinion. I am excited to head back with my Mom on Friday and really explore and experience more...and of course take my great SLR camera and get some amazing shots!

A fabulous weekend and experience but I am exhausted to say the least. We got home Monday around 11am and I rushed to get Roxie from Jake's, showered and went to work, then dinner with a friend....it felt good to finally get home and sleep in a bed and not a sleeping bag! Today is non stop errands and getting ready for my Mom to arrive Thursday morning and of course Bowling tonight with the crew.

I will be ready to sit by the pool in Palm Springs come Friday with a good book, some drinks, and a GREAT Mom :)
