How is June half way over already?!? This weekend was gorgeous in San Diego and it was long over due after most of the week being typical cloudy and "June Gloom". Friday I headed to Happy Hour with some girls in Ocean Beach at a place infamous for their delicious fish tacos. They did not disappoint! I swear I could eat fish tacos every day...we then headed out in PB for a while and met up with several other friends.
I was up early, early on Saturday to help my friend Alicia set up her VIP area for the San Diego Oyster Fest! We loaded up both of our cars with Captain Morgan and Jose Cuervo giveaways (tshirts, sunglasses, shot glasses etc.) and headed to the amazing location for the event. It was a lot of work but fun to see it all getting set up and what all goes into an event like that. We headed back to shower, change, and actually get ready for the event. Luckily it was a cloudless day, about 70, and just amazing. It also didn't hurt that we got free drinks the entire day...and at $8 a pop...that was HUGE! I am not a huge oyster fan so I didn't partake other than getting a pulled pork sandwich that happened to have a friend oyster on top...delish! Great music, great friends, and an all around wonderful Saturday in San Diego. Dinner with some friends at a great burger placed called The Neighborhood (and home to some of the best mac and cheese I have ever had) and we called it a relatively early night.
Sunday was lazy for the most part...napping off and on, the dog park with Rox, walking along the boardwalk with my friend Alex and her new puppy, Carmelle.
My new job with Excite Steps starts tomorrow! We will head to the beach from 12:30-3:30 with a group of about 10 kids and just enjoy the day! 2 weeks from today I will be on a plane headed to North Carolina! Woo Hoo!!!!
