It will be nice to head back to San Diego. I miss my pup. I miss no humidity. I miss the bay and the beach. I miss being outside everyday and not sweating my ass off...
What a great, great trip!! It has been non stop and on the go. Let's see if I can possibly recap....
Tuesday- My welcome back party at Tracy's house. It was awesome to see so many great friends and former coworkers. We ate, drank, laughed, chatted, and played some cornhole. I have the BEST friends in the world. Makes me miss my old job...they were the best part of it!
Wednesday- I got up bright and early, grabbed Regs and we headed down to Savannah to visit the sweet Salley fam! Ginny, Hayden, Piper, Sylvia, and Corey. It was great to sit around, relax, chat, play, read endless books, and just enjoy time with my dear friend and her kids. Just when I think I might not want kids...I get around those cute and well behaved kiddos and start to rethink :)
Thursday- We headed back to Atlanta after hanging out for a bit in the morning with the girls. My great Aunt had come into town from Charlotte, NC so me, my Mom, Gran, and her went to dinner.
Friday- Visited with the Hawkins family. 3 great boys...Andrew (5), Charlie (3), and William (1). I have spent many, many days/nights with this fam and it was great to pop by for a brief visit. The boys are getting so big and as cute as ever!! Then off to lunch and drinks with Tracy and another former coworker, after...popped by to visit Kris for a little while, and then finally out to dinner with the entire family in Buckhead for my brother's 29th birthday! Friday was busy, busy.
Saturday- Corey Smith concert! Got to see more friends, have more laughs, and see a great concert. We got a hotel by the venue and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning having such a blast!
Sunday- Off to the lake for the entire day with the family. Homemade icecream, boat rides, dinner on the lake, and some much needed R and R. Perfect Sunday.
Monday- Lunch with my Dad and brother, movie with my Mom, and one last homemade meal cooked by my Madre.
Tuesday- Will pop by to say bye to the Woxlands, then head down to my brother's who will take me to the airport.
If all goes according to plan...should be in SD by 7pm and plan to do nothing for the next few days except read and go to the beach with Roxie.
Such a wonderful trip back and sad to see it go by so quickly. But...time does fly when you are having fun!
