The Countdown!

This week was a rather busy one. I can always tell when I am busy and preoccupied when I fail to take Roxie to the beach a single day :( It doesn't help that her bff got "fixed" this past week and is out of commission for the next week or 2. The dog park just isn't the same without our friends. I was busy tracking down some furniture to fill up my now fairly empty apartment. I managed to score a tv stand (looks super cute and brand new almost) for $30 and a distressed and beachy looking coffee table for $20. I also hauled over Maria's kitchen table so now the apartment doesn't have that "Oh my gosh did you get robbed???" kind of look :) haha Still more to buy but it is definitely livable and comfortable.

Friday I headed out to celebrate my friend Maria's 27th birthday! Pizza, beer, and vino with some great friends! Saturday I got up bright and early for a nearly 6 hour camera class to learn more about my SLR Canon Rebel. I think I learned some good tips and pointers...it def. had me wanting to buy a new lens, but it was also a lot of information and overwhelming as well. The rest of the day was spent relaxing and watching college football. UGA finally got a win even though it wasn't on TV and they played some lame team...a win is a win at this point!

Sunday involved even more football. NFL and the SD Chargers are huge out here! I have never been into the NFL but it consumes people's Sundays out here until Dec. or January so I guess I will go ahead and jump on the band wagon. Headed to my friend Maria's house for mimosas and football...hey as long as beer or some assortment of adult beverages are involved...I can watch about any sporting event! It was nice to not be in a bar and just lounge around her place.

A 4 day work week before my cousin arrives Thursday night!!! A few more errands to get ready for her visit and a good cleaning of the apartment and I will be good to go! We already have plans to go to the Padres vs. LA Dodgers game on Friday night. Once again I was lucky enough to get my stepdad's family's awesome field level 1st base line tickets. Should be a great first night in SD for Jess.
