Mander Comes to Town!!

Amanda (aka Mander) was in town for work and Jake and I got to hang out with her Monday and Tuesday night. She has the West coast as her "territory" now for work so hopefully that brings her out here kinda frequently. We went to a yummy dinner downtown at a place called The Neighborhood....Amanda, Jake, and I had actually been there 2 years ago on my very first visit ever to San Diego. It did not disappoint and it was a pleasant night to sit out on the patio. We headed to another bar for a few more beers and then called it a night...Mander is working after all :)

Tuesday was a rainy, rainy day in San Diego. I have never seen streets flood and flow with water so quickly.....I have seen rain here but it usually doesn't last very long...however, yesterday it rained from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed. We went out to Mexican with Amanda and her boss. Great food, great conversations, and of course...lots of laughs....Mander always keeps me laughing. Simply love that girl! So happy I got to spend two nights catching up with an old and dear friend...Amanda is someone I don't get to see all that often but whenever we do hang out...we never miss a beat.

Tonight I headed out with the roommate to another work event of hers at a bar...tough gig huh? I am such a good roommate and friend to make the sacrifice to go to a bar and drink for free...yes...so noble and generous of me. ha

About a week until I head to JAX to see my friend, her daughter, my college roommate, her husband and kids and hopefully my cousin as well. So excited for a great weekend of catching up, seeing their adorable kiddos, carving pumpkins, cheering on the DAWGS, and just some quality time with good people. With a short layover in Atlanta on my way back to SD I hope to also see my girls Tracy and Kris! Life around here is still great and it starts to feel more and more like home and I am settling nicely into the groove and a routine.

Back on Coronado this weekend for babysitting, hitting the beach, reading, and playing with the pup.

On a side note...dropped my camera off a bar the other night and now it doesn't seem to be working :( You know how I love my pics so this is terrible news for me. Luckily I have my nice SLR still but I still need a point and shoot to throw in the purse...add it to my list of things to buy/want I guess....that list is never ending it seems.
